PRAYER
O Master, hear our weeping,
For our souls are wrung with pain,
Because of our sinful seeking,
Because of our sordid speaking,
Because we are weak and vain.
O Master, aid our failings,
For our hearts are foolish things,
Because of the outward railings,
Because of the inward airings,
Because of the sting sin brings.
O Master, make us holy,
For Thou art the Perfect One,
Because of Thy stooping lowly,
Because of Thy Passion solely,
Because Thou art God’s own Son!
