Esther’s Exaltation; Or, Who Knoweth? – Charles Spurgeon Christian Audio Sermons

“Remember that as God can do without us, it may be He WILL do without us. It might come to pass that God will say, ‘I will no more bless the world by this England. She has become selfishly mercantile. She cares more for commerce than for righteousness, she is drunk and infidel, I will give her up.’ Let her pass away as all oppressors must, and let the nations say, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, that mighty city! For in one hour so great riches is come to nothing.’”

Esther 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
