“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever..” 1 John 2:15-17
In our preparatory service for the Lord’s Supper we are called to weigh in the balance our love for the world with our love for Jesus Christ. We are called to examine our love for the world, mortify it, and inflame our love for Jesus Christ as we prepare for the Communion Table. Preached Sabbath PM on 08/29/21 from 1 John 2:15-17.
